SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING

Search Engine Optimization Image® does not include any Pay Per Click (PPC) or Pay Per Inclusion (PPI) as part of its services. These are separate services. We will write the descriptions for you and target your keywords for you to enter to each PPC or PPI service you decide to use. We can manage the entire campaigns and work to increase your clickthroughs and ROI.
Pay Per Click (PPC):
Pay Per Click Search Engines like Yahoo Search Marketing, Google Adwords and MSN AdCenter, as well as many smaller ones, are 100% advertising based. The higher the advertiser is willing to pay the better the advertiser's ranking will be. Some keywords are becoming more and more expensive and can average over $15,000 per month for very competitive terms.
Pay Per Inclusion (PPI):
Some search engines offer both free and pay per inclusion submissions to their index, and others are only pay per inclusion. These are generally directories. The benefits to pay per inclusion is that the site is always in the index depending on the rate od the inclusion. Some listings are permanent others are annual. The ranking may take longer to update. Which programs are right for your company needs to be researched.
Choosing Programs:
The main reason for one program over the other would be budget constraints. In some marketing approaches, all income generated by a company is spend on advertising and promotion, in the hopes that one day the advertising will no longer turn into a loss or a break even campaign.
There are several campaigns that Search Engine Optimization Image® recommends. SEO Image, Inc. will generally use one that suits the advertising budget of the company.
Pay Per Inclusion Recommendations (in order of importance):
Yahoo! $299 US Annually
Lycos/Fast – InSite Select $35 first $18 additional – Annual fee
AskJeeves/Teoma – $30 - Annual fee
WhatUseek Collection $49 Annually

Google Adwords: Places text link ads on millions of relevant websites, and on the right of its search returns. A very complicated system to figure out without actual experience. Not easy to understand the language used on the web page. Offers a effective Ranking system based on keyword relevancy and clicks, you control your budget limits. If your starting a website and want Google exposure, then this is the way to go.
Google adwords is a program that you should use with your SEO to maximize your ROI. Keyword messages need to be structured properly.
Pros:
Gets you placement on Google, AOL, Netscape, AskJeeves and thousands of small relevant websites.
Cons:
If not placed right ads can be called for irrelevant keywords for placement, places your ad on small websites (Google Adwords Program) that aren't always getting you real traffic. Controls the language of the ad to want the text of the keyword in the ad. Giving you less freedom to send a message.
Looksmart:
Looksmart is a directory (formerly the second resource for MSN search returns). Ranking cannot be controlled as much because it is based on limited content. The directory use to be a prominent place to be listed. Today it is supplemented by the Zeal (Non-Commercial) database which has sites that are non-commercial competing with commercial websites.
Pros:
Simple to use. Everyone pays the same per click cost of $0.15, plus the one-time listing fee. You control your monthly budget. Pricing is even cheaper now that MSN no longer uses LookSmart. Has a large network or owned sites to place your ads on.
Cons:
No major search engine support. After your monthly budget is reached you are removed from the index. Site placement has limited control, exposure on 3rd party search engines besides is minimal.
Out of all the programs we recommend Yahoo Search Marketing and Google Adwords in the current Search Engine world. Both can be a bit expensive, but they do drive targeted traffic to your site if you have no ranking (like most new websites) these programs will get you noticed.
For the best results that out weight these programs have your site optimized by an experienced SEO Company. Then you will not need to rely heavily, if at all, on the ads after your ranking are live. |
